Durga Prasai Appeals for Massive Turnout in Janakpur to Welcome Former King on January 26
Social activist Durga Prasai has made a special appeal via Facebook to make the upcoming visit of former King Gyanendra Shah to Janakpur on January 26 (Magh 12) historic, describing the country's current situation as serious and critical.
Claiming that the only way out of the prevailing despair, confusion, and instability in the country is the monarchy and a Hindu Kingdom, Prasai stated that it is no longer time for citizens to remain silent.
According to him, the monarchy is not just an individual or an institution but the strong foundation of Nepal's identity, pride, and national security, which can provide shelter to internal forces as well as neighboring nations China and India during times of crisis.
In his Facebook post, Prasai mentioned that this is the right time for nationalist citizens to unite and demonstrate their patriotism, extending a heartfelt invitation to reach Janakpur on January 26 to express support and respect for the former king.
Expressing confidence that the visit to Janakpur will bring a new wave of nationality and create history, he urged all patriotic Nepali brothers and sisters to take to the streets and make their voices heard.
