Dr. CK Raut Slams Federal Police, Demands 30,000 Provincial Police in Madhesh
Janamat Party Chairman Dr. CK Raut has fiercely attacked the Federal Police following the recent assault on Provincial Assembly members in Madhesh, publicly questioning the Federal Police's purpose in the region.
He accused the federal force of failing to provide security, engaging in "hooliganism, oppression, and exploitation," and arriving in Madhesh with the intent to "loot."
Raut cited the assault on Assembly members, which he claims occurred in "police collusion," as they attempted to file an impeachment motion against the Deputy Speaker.
He also criticized their failure to protect the lawmakers and their passive role during the alleged burning of the Provincial Assembly building. Asserting that the incidents underscore the urgent need for provincial autonomy and a dedicated police force, Dr.
Raut demanded the immediate implementation of the passed Madhesh Province Police Act and the swift recruitment of 30,000 Gen-Z youth into the provincial service, arguing the constitution already grants this right.
