DP Aryal Files Candidacy for Speaker of the House

Kathmandu. DP Aryal, Vice-Chairman of the ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), has registered his nomination for the new Speaker of the House of Representatives. Giving a brief statement to media persons after the nomination, Aryal expressed his commitment to working within the boundaries of the Constitution and the law.

He said, "We have the Constitution and the law. The duties, responsibilities, and authorities of the Speaker are determined by the Constitution and the law themselves; I will move forward accordingly."

Mentioning that the process of receiving the responsibility of Speaker is underway, he clarified that if he assumes the role after the process is completed, he will work in favor of the Constitution, the law, the welfare of the people, and nationality. Additionally, he stated that he would advance the legislative work in a just manner.

He said, "The decision regarding the responsibility I am about to receive is still in the process. If I reach that position after the process concludes, I will perform the legislative duties in a just manner, keeping the Constitution of Nepal, the laws of Nepal, the interests of the Nepali people, and nationality at the forefront."
