158 candidates file nominations for House of Representatives elections in Dhanusha
Janakpur. For the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5, 158 individuals have filed their nominations across all four electoral constituencies of Dhanusha.
According to the details released by the Provincial Election Officer's office, 42 candidates filed nominations in Dhanusha Constituency No. 1. Similarly, 34 candidates filed in Dhanusha-2, 45 candidates in Dhanusha-3, and 37 candidates in Dhanusha-4.
Those filing nominations include top leaders from various major parties as well as a significant number of new candidates. The highest level of competition is expected in Constituency No. 3, where Nepali Congress leader Bimalendra Nidhi, Juli Mahaseth of CPN-UML, and Manish Jha of RSVP have filed their nominations. It is estimated that the main competition will be among these three.
In Dhanusha Constituency No. 1, Rampaltan Sah from Congress, Ram Chandra Mandal from CPN-UML, Kishori Sah from RSVP, Deepak Karki from JSP Nepal, Matrika Yadav from CPN (Maoist), and Brahmadev Yadav from Janamat Party have become candidates.
In Constituency No. 2, Dinesh Parsaula Yadav from Congress, Umashankar Argariya from CPN-UML, Ram Vinod Yadav from RSVP, Pashupati Yadav from JSP Nepal, Ram Chandra Jha from CPN (Maoist), and Surendra Yadav from Janamat Party have filed nominations.
Likewise, in Constituency No. 4, Mahendra Yadav from Congress, Raghubir Mahaseth from CPN-UML, Rajkishore Mahato from RSVP, Krishnachandra Sah from JSP Nepal, Sanjay Kumar Mahato from CPN (Maoist), and Indrajit Yadav from Janamat Party are the candidates.
There are a total of 514,571 voters across the four electoral constituencies of Dhanusha. By constituency, there are approximately 115,000 voters in Constituency No. 1, 110,000 in Constituency No. 2, 120,000 in Constituency No. 3, and approximately 118,000 voters in Constituency No. 4.
