Deuba-Koirala group calls Central Committee meeting

Outgoing President of the Nepali Congress, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and the Dr. Shekhar Koirala group have called a meeting of the Central Working Committee for Tuesday. Central members elected from the 14th General Convention have been informed via telephone through Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Paudel to attend the meeting, which will be held at 11:00 AM at the Smart Hotel in Maharajgunj.

It is reported that the meeting will primarily feature in-depth discussions on contemporary politics and the writ petition filed in the Supreme Court. Dissatisfied after the Election Commission recognized the new leadership emerging from the Special General Convention, this group has been pursuing parallel activities and has also scheduled a program for Monday to congratulate the newly elected parliamentarians.

Furthermore, outgoing Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka is preparing to convene a gathering of provincial and district presidents in the near future.
