Supreme Court to Hear Deuba Faction’s Petition Against Election Commission Decision

Kathmandu – The Sher Bahadur Deuba faction of the Nepali Congress is set to have its petition against the Election Commission’s decision heard. The hearing will take place on Tuesday before a single-judge bench led by Justice Sunil Kumar Pokharel.
The petition was filed after the Commission officially recognized the committee led by Gagan Kumar Thapa, elected through a special convention.
This case is listed under bench ‘ङ’. The Election Commission had earlier granted recognition to the committee elected under Thapa’s leadership.
