UML Nominates Shankar Pokharel for Dang-2 Constituency

Dang — For the direct election under the House of Representatives, the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) has unanimously nominated Party General Secretary Shankar Pokharel for Dang Constituency No. 2.

The decision was made at a meeting of the regional coordination committee held on Sunday, where Pokharel was endorsed as the candidate. Regional Coordinator Sudan KC informed that Pokharel’s name was recommended unanimously by the committee.

Dang Constituency No. 2 is also the home region of General Secretary Pokharel. Known as an influential leader within the party for a long time, his nomination signals UML’s clear strategy for the upcoming election.
