Five Leaders Finalized for CPN-UML Vice-Chairmanship; Gurung Wins with Highest Votes
Kathmandu, December 18: The final election results for the Vice-Chairperson positions of the Communist Party of Nepal (UML) have been released.
According to the public results, Prithvi Subba Gurung has been elected to the post of Vice-Chairperson with the highest number of votes, securing 1,737 votes.
Following Gurung, Bishnu Prasad Paudel secured the second position with 1,675 votes. Ram Bahadur Thapa 'Badal' obtained 1,516 votes, and Gokarna Raj Bista secured 1,368 votes to win their respective Vice-Chairperson seats.
In a notable turn of events, the incumbent Vice-Chairperson Guru Baral was defeated in this election. While Baral received 1,137 votes, his competitor Raghuji Pant was successful in getting elected with 1,258 votes. With these results, all five leaders for the Vice-Chairmanship of CPN-UML have been finalized.
