Preparation of Representatives for the CPN-UML National General Convention
Kathmandu. The process of updating the list of representatives for the 11th National General Convention of the CPN-UML (Communist Party of Nepal - Unified Marxist-Leninist) is in its final stages.
A team including the Chief of the Organization Department, Kashinath Adhikari, and Secretary Madhav Dhungel, is continuously engaged in preparing and updating the details of the representatives.
According to the Department Chief, out of the total participants for the upcoming General Convention, 2,154 representatives have been selected through elections.
Apart from these, there is a provision for 108 individuals to become representatives through nomination by the central body. The total number of representatives, including those nominated, is expected to reach 2,262.
The Department also stated that three individuals who returned to the party through the 'Ghar Farka Abhiyan' from the former CPN (S) CPN (Unified Socialist) have also applied to be included as representatives.
The authority to make a decision regarding their inclusion has been given to the Party Secretariat.
