Gagan Thapa scrambles to manage ticket distribution in Congress; preparations to meet Deuba and Shekhar

Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa is meeting with top party leaders to finalize the tickets for the upcoming House of Representatives elections scheduled for March 5.

Before preparing the final list of candidates for the direct election of the House of Representatives, President Thapa is reported to have been in discussions since Sunday morning with former party president Sher Bahadur Deuba, leader Shekhar Koirala, and other senior leaders.

Since the focus is on selecting winning candidates rather than just distributing shares, preparations have been made to select the candidates after Thapa’s meetings are concluded. 

Although Thapa was said to be meeting Deuba on Saturday, it is reported that the time was instead fixed for today.
