Communication Minister Gains Inspiration for AI Development in South Korea

KATHMANDU – Minister of Communication and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, who is currently in the South Korean capital to participate in the 11th 'Global ICT Leadership Forum', has stated that he has been energized to work towards the promotion of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

Following his observation of the 'Seoul AI Smart City Center', he expressed that he gained the energy to work for the development of AI in Nepal. He also mentioned that AI would be useful in leading the nation towards prosperity through information technology.

According to Minister Kharel's private secretariat, after taking information about the center's activities, he said, "We have gained knowledge from Korea's AI Smart City Center to further strengthen Nepal's AI Center. This will help make the center, which was recently established in our country, robust."

Communication Minister Kharel also committed to making the center effective. Furthermore, he consulted with experts about the opportunities presented by AI, its maximum utilization in nation-building, and its future. Minister Kharel stated that the Leadership Forum has been fruitful for 'Digital Nepal' and 'Digital Transformation'.
