Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Saroj Kumar Yadav, Resigns
Janakpur. The Chief Minister of Madhesh Province, Saroj Kumar Yadav, has submitted his resignation letter.
He submitted his resignation letter to the Chief of Madhesh Province, Dr. Surendra Labh, just a little while ago.
In his letter, he mentioned that he resigned from the post of Chief Minister by honoring the order of the esteemed Supreme Court, internalizing the message shown by the political situation, and keeping in mind the public sentiment and the wider interest of the province.
Chief Minister Yadav was scheduled to seek a vote of confidence in today's Provincial Assembly meeting, but instead, while delivering his statement, he announced his resignation from the meeting without seeking the confidence vote.
As he was delivering his statement, lawmakers from seven political parties walked out of the meeting.
