Investing in Early Childhood Development Secures Our Future: CM Karki
Biratnagar – Koshi Province Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki has stated that investments made in Early Childhood Development (ECD) will contribute significantly to building the future of society as a whole.
Speaking at a consultation program titled "Constitutional Rights and Responsibilities for Early Childhood Development in the Koshi Province Structure," Chief Minister Karki emphasized that when young children receive good education and care at home, it creates happiness and a positive environment within the family.
He mentioned that it is essential to prioritize early childhood development for the physical, mental, and intellectual growth of children. He added that investing in children yields long-term benefits for both society and the nation.
Highlighting the need for effective coordination among the federal, provincial, and local levels to ensure children's rights, Chief Minister Karki stressed that early childhood development programs must be made more systematic and effective.
The program, organized by the Federal Parliamentarians' Coordination and Collaboration Group for Early Childhood Development, discussed children's rights, the current state of early education, and the implementation of constitutional responsibilities.
