Citizens Might Nepal Announces Key Decisions on the Movement
Amid the complex political situation in Nepal, Citizens Might Nepal has announced major decisions regarding the recent movement and its future course of action. A meeting of the party’s Central Committee stated that the nationwide protests led by the Generation Z youth have marked a historic turning point.
The meeting urged the government to immediately begin the reconstruction of damaged national properties, including Singha Durbar, the Supreme Court, and Shital Niwas. It also declared the launch of a new campaign, recognizing the sacrifices, dedication, and unwavering resolve of the youth as a positive foundation for nation-building.
Key decisions made by the meeting include:
Immediate dismissal of top leaders of all political parties in parliament.
Building a new political consensus through the participation of all citizens.
Recognizing the role of the Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police, and ensuring modern training and equipment for security personnel.
Advancing a reconstruction campaign for damaged national heritage.
Launching a national campaign under the motto “People’s Happiness is the Nation’s Development.”
Providing Rs. 5 million as immediate relief to the families of martyrs and ensuring employment opportunities for the injured.
Respectfully involving the agitating youth in the constitutional amendment process.
Taking initiatives to resolve the unmanaged refugee problem and make the country refugee-free.
Regulating the role of non-governmental organizations.
Immediately investigating illegal property found in the homes of political leaders or figures during the movement.
The meeting described the protests as the outcome of the revolutionary consciousness of a new generation and pledged to build an independent, self-reliant, and just society in the days ahead.
