Chinese Orchid Exports Surge Ahead of Spring Festival
Agency. The demand for Chinese orchids is on the rise. With the increasing demand for Chinese orchids in foreign markets, exports have also grown. In a greenhouse and packaging center located in Foshan, South China, preparations for export are underway.
According to wholesaler Li Haili, the upcoming Spring Festival is driving demand from Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam, with some customers placing orders immediately after making inquiries. The export volume appears higher this year.
Due to the center’s efficient packaging and logistics infrastructure, shipments of domestically grown orchids can reach places like Vietnam in approximately 24 hours. Another wholesaler at the center stated that they have been shipping 10,000–15,000 plants per day. (CCTV+)
