Development Pace in West Nawalparasi Accelerates Due to Binod Chaudhary: Mayor Shrestha
Bardaghat. Shambhulal Shrestha, the Mayor of Bardaghat Municipality, has stated that the pace of development in West Nawalparasi has increased because of Binod Chaudhary, the Nepali Congress candidate for the House of Representatives from Nawalparasi Constituency No. 1. Speaking at a program organized in Bardaghat, Mayor Shrestha praised Chaudhary for driving this developmental momentum.
He noted that despite obstacles from some local leaders, a trauma center is currently under construction in Chisapani, Bardaghat Municipality, thanks to the efforts of the outgoing Member of Parliament and candidate Chaudhary.
He claimed that the trauma center, being built at a cost of approximately 120 million rupees from the federal government, is only possible because of Chaudhary. He further asserted that this center, the first of its kind to be built outside Kathmandu, will add a new dimension to the health sector of West Nawalparasi and serves as a matter of pride for the entire district.
"The trauma center is a matter of pride not just for the city but for the entire district, and it didn't happen by chance," Shrestha said. "While local leaders were maneuvering to prevent it from coming here, the construction would not have been possible if former Honorable Binod Chaudhary had not been involved."
Additionally, Mayor Shrestha mentioned that although there was significant political interference to stop the construction of the Khajura Bridge, Chaudhary succeeded in getting the contractor to work by facilitating a loan from a private bank. He stated that the bridge is currently in the concreting phase and will be completed by the upcoming election.
He also recalled that Binod Chaudhary had assured the allocation of a 100 million rupee budget for an alternative road aimed at reaching Dumkibas. However, he expressed disappointment that some local individuals went on a delegation to ensure that the budget would not be directed to Chaudhary's constituency.
He emphasized that if the people want continued development, a candidate like Chaudhary must win the upcoming election, clarifying that Chaudhary is an indispensable leader for development.
