Chairman Sampang Calls Arrest an Act of Retaliation
Harka Raj Sampang, Chairman of the Shram Sanskriti Party, has termed the arrest of his party’s Vice-Chairman in a bomb case as an act of retaliation.
Sampang made his views public after the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of the police arrested the party’s Vice-Chairman, Raj Kumar Tamang Lama (also known as Kumar), from Kathmandu.
He clarified that if found guilty in the investigation, the party will not provide protection, but if there is an attempt to frame an innocent person, it will not be tolerated.
Sampang wrote on social media: "If our Vice-Chairman is found guilty, we will not make efforts to save him; however, if he is innocent, there will certainly be opposition against injustice and retaliation."
