Nepali Congress Central Executive Committee to Meet Again Today
Kathmandu: The meeting of the Nepali Congress Central Executive Committee is scheduled to continue today. According to Krishna Prasad Paudel, Chief Secretary of the party’s central office, the meeting is set to begin at 9:00 AM this Wednesday at the party headquarters.
In the previous session held on Tuesday, the committee decided to seek alliances with other political parties for the upcoming National Assembly elections in 2026. Discussions reportedly focused heavily on finalizing a strategy for these polls.
During Tuesday's meeting, Acting President Purna Bahadur Khadka shared his views on election preparations, potential coalitions, and the current political landscape. General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa, along with Assistant General Secretaries Farmullah Mansur and Jeevan Pariyar, also presented their perspectives.
Today's session will see more leaders sharing their opinions. The meeting is expected to finalize decisions regarding election strategy, candidate selection, and the specifics of inter-party cooperation.
