Bhim Rawal Thunders: PM Balen's Remarks Have Put Border Residents in a Difficult Position
Communist Party of Nepal leader Bhim Rawal has stated that a country in a sensitive geopolitical position like Nepal must stand firm on its national interests and border security.
Speaking on Monday at a book launch event organized on the occasion of the 102nd birth anniversary of Pushpa Lal Shrestha, a founding leader of the communist movement, Rawal expressed dissatisfaction with the government's rhetoric. He pointed out that the border disputes in the southern regions of Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, Kalapani, and Susta remain unresolved.
"In a country like Nepal, which is in a sensitive geopolitical situation, there is encroachment to the south in Limpiyadhura, Lipulekh, and Kalapani," Rawal said. "Regarding Susta, the locals there have recently said that the Prime Minister's claim that Nepal has also encroached upon Indian land has put the people of Susta in a difficult position day by day."
Rawal added that the Prime Minister's statement asserting "Nepal has also encroached on Indian territory" has left Nepali citizens living in the border areas vulnerable and facing hardships.
