Election Commission Completes Ballot Paper Printing for 25 Districts

Kathmandu - The Election Commission has announced that the printing and packing of ballot papers for the direct electoral system in 25 different districts has been completed.

According to the details provided by the Commission, the printing and packing of ballot papers for Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Jajarkot, Dailekh, Rukum (West), Salyan, Surkhet, Bajura, and Achham have been finished.

Similarly, the printing and packing for a total of 25 districts, including Bajhang, Doti, Dadeldhura, Darchula, Baitadi, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Panchthar, Ilam, Tehrathum, Bhojpur, Okhaldhunga, and Sunsari, have been completed. Printing for sixty districts has also been finished, though the packing work remains.

According to the Commission, the printing of ballot papers is in its final stage. Packing is also being carried out progressively. The printing work is taking place at Janak Education Materials Centre Limited.

The printing of ballot papers for the proportional representation system has already been completed. A total of 20,830,000 ballot papers for the proportional system have been printed, packed, verified, and kept ready for transportation.

Furthermore, 20,323,000 ballot papers need to be printed for the direct electoral system. The printing for the direct system began on January 29. Additionally, the Commission stated that 1,098,200 sample ballot papers have been printed and sent to various districts.
