Ballot Printing Underway for Upcoming House of Representatives Election
Kathmandu. The printing of ballot papers for the direct electoral system across 15 districts has been completed for the House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5. According to the Election Commission, ballot printing for 18 constituencies within these 15 districts has been finished so far.
The printing process is currently ongoing at the Janak Shiksha Samagri Kendra in Bhaktapur. Printing is complete for the direct ballots in Dolpa, Mugu, Jumla, Kalikot, Humla, Salyan, and Jajarkot. Similarly, printing has been finalized for Dailekh constituencies 1 and 2, Surkhet 1 and 2, Western Rukum, Bajura, Achham 1 and 2, Kailali 1, Jhapa 5, and Sunsari 1.
The Commission stated that 1,098,200 sample ballots have already been printed and delivered to the respective constituencies. Additionally, the printing of 20,080,030 ballot papers for the proportional representation system has already been completed.
