RSP Leader Balen Shah's Visit to Urlabari
Urlabari. Former Kathmandu Mayor and prominent leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Balendra Shah (Balen), has arrived in Urlabari.
During a meeting and discussion organized in Urlabari, he interacted with local residents, youth, and civic leaders regarding the current political situation, good governance, and local development.
During the meeting, Shah emphasized that transparency and accountability are the primary foundations of development, stating that citizens themselves must remain alert and active to control the irregularities and unnecessary expenses seen within the state machinery. He remarked that the justification for the federal structure can only be proven if local levels become strong.
Local youth raised issues concerning the lack of employment, urban management, waste management, and basic infrastructure. In response, Shah stated that solutions are possible if citizen participation in policy-making increases, noting that change should not only come from the top but must start from the bottom.
Balen's arrival in Urlabari has been viewed with great interest at the local level. His supporters commented that his clear speech and working style have created a new debate in traditional politics.
It is reported that during his stay in Urlabari, Shah is scheduled to observe the local conditions and hold further interactions with various groups as part of his nationwide campaign.
