Balen Shah Pays Tribute to Martyr Ramesh Mahato in Lahan
Siraha. Balen Shah, a senior leader of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and former Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has offered a garland at the statue of the first martyr of Madhesh, Ramesh Mahato, in Lahan Municipality of Siraha district.
While paying tribute to martyr Ramesh Mahato, who attained martyrdom during the Madhesh Movement, Shah stated that his contribution is an inspiration not only for Madhesh but for the entire nation.
During the program, he mentioned that today's democratic achievements were made possible because of the sacrifices of the martyrs and expressed the view that honest politics, good governance, and justice are necessary to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs.
Earlier this morning, he had reached the historic Janaki Temple in Janakpurdham and participated in the regular morning Aarati.
