Prime Ministerial Candidate Balen Shah’s Security Protocol During Sudurpashchim Campaign

Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) senior leader Balendra Shah (Balen) has nearly concluded his visit to Sudurpashchim. Having joined the RSP for the upcoming Falgun 21 elections and diving into the campaign, Balen had been touring Sudurpashchim since Wednesday and entered Karnali Province via Achham on Friday.

During this journey, he reached Doti on Thursday evening. A program had been set for him to stay overnight in Dipayal, Doti. Local RSP leaders had arranged for his accommodation at the Barsha Hotel in Dipayal.

However, he stayed neither at the Barsha Hotel nor in Dipayal itself. He left there overnight and reached Silgadhi, the district headquarters of Doti. After staying the night there, he departed for Achham early Friday morning.

According to sources close to Balen, the reason he did not stay in Dipayal was that the details of his hotel and room had been made public beforehand. Even before Balen reached Dipayal, information had circulated on social media stating that arrangements had been made for him to stay in room number 304 of the Barsha Hotel.

A local leader stated that Balen chose not to stay in Dipayal due to security and privacy concerns after his hotel and room details were leaked. Consequently, he personally made arrangements to stay at the Shaileshwori Guest House in Silgadhi and left during the night.
