Balen and Harka Exchange Sharp Responses on Social Media, Drawing Public Attention

Dharan Mayor Harka Sampang has publicly responded to a satirical Facebook post by Kathmandu Mayor Balen Shah.

Harka wrote on his Facebook, “Those who secretly post statuses to elevate themselves, but cannot, will not, or do not want to put out fires, who follow foreign directions as their guidance, have no original vision, and consider themselves powerful under the guise of divine authority, cannot compete with me! I am a person born of this soil! Not imported or injected!”

This clearly shows that Harka emphasized his authenticity and originality while responding to Balen’s playful post. Previously, Balen had written targeting Harka, “Dear Harka Sampang, no matter how much you scold me, I will never stop loving you. Even if it’s one-sided, my love is true. You are my true love.”

At a time when the country is just recovering from such incidents, the clash between these two political leaders has compelled the public to voice criticism.
