'Apple Board' Office to be Established in Jumla Targeting Five Districts of Karnali
Kathmandu: The government is preparing to establish an Apple Board office in Jumla to manage the large-scale apple production in Jumla, Humla, Mugu, Dolpa, and Kalikot. According to RPP leader Gyanendra Shahi, the Ministry plans to locate the office in Jumla as it serves as a convenient hub for all these districts.
Currently, commercial apple farming is conducted on more than 2,000 hectares out of a total of 3,080 hectares of land across these Karnali districts. It is believed that the establishment of the board will further support the production and marketing of Karnali's apples.
