Nepali Congress Leader Dr. Abul Hussain Ansari to Joins CPN (UML)
Nepali Congress leader Dr. Abul Hussain Ansari has announced his resignation from the Nepali Congress and his decision to join the CPN (UML). He claimed that he has already secured a ticket from the UML to contest as a member of the House of Representatives.
Ansari, who has been active in Congress politics for a long time, explained that he decided to leave the party due to increasing internal disputes, self-centered politics, and ideological deviations within the Congress. In a public statement, Ansari mentioned that he spent the most energetic years of his life in the Nepali Congress and navigated various political ups and downs while remaining with the party.
However, he stated that he felt compelled to leave the party with great sadness and a heavy heart, noting that the Congress has recently begun to forget the essence of democracy and the principles of BP Koirala.
Ansari also expressed grievances regarding Sunsari, stating that there is a dominant trend of accepting outsiders as leaders while local contributions are never properly evaluated. For this reason, he announced his intention to join the CPN (UML) and contest the upcoming election from Sunsari Constituency No. 4.
Dr. Ansari committed that he would never let down the trust of the UML or the hopes of the people, stating that the CPN (UML) has welcomed him into the party with respect and expressed confidence in him.
