Plane carrying Maharashtra Deputy CM Ajit Pawar crashes
KATHMANDU. A plane carrying Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) President Ajit Pawar has crashed. The chartered plane, which was traveling from Mumbai to Baramati, Maharashtra, on Wednesday morning, crashed at approximately 8:45 AM.
Ajit Pawar was en route to Baramati to attend a public meeting organized for the Zilla Parishad elections. According to preliminary information, while the plane met with an accident, the cause remains unknown. Initial reports suggest that Ajit Pawar did not sustain injuries in the incident, though detailed information is still awaited.
Prior to this, Ajit Pawar was in Mumbai on Tuesday, where he participated in a meeting of the Maharashtra Cabinet Committee on Infrastructure chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
Maharashtra Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule and other relevant officials were also present at that meeting. (AANI)
