Not Conflict but National Unity is the Need of the Hour: Advocate Bishnu Giri

Kathmandu. Advocate Bishnu Giri has stated that the remarks made by political party leaders have been fueling conflict in the country.
Recently, disputes between leaders of CPN-UML, the establishment faction of the Nepali Congress, and other groups, as well as statements from political party leaders, have further escalated conflict. Highlighting this, Giri stressed that the need for national unity has been growing.
He further emphasized that addressing the demands raised by Generation Z should be done through the rule of law and the constitutional process; otherwise, the country may once again fall into conflict.
Extending his greetings through social media on the occasion of the great Nepali festival, Bada Dashain 2082, Giri urged that the questions raised by the younger generation should be addressed by focusing on good governance and transparency.
According to him, Bada Dashain is also a festival of harmony, reconciliation, and unity. “What is needed now between generations is not conflict but cooperation,” said Giri.
He added that the Sushila Karki-led government must work in a way that ensures inclusion and representation of Generation Z as well, noting that some positive initiatives have already begun.
Advocate Giri further stated that the nation’s crisis is a matter of concern and responsibility for all citizens, and that to make the slogans and agendas established through past movements successful, the role of everyone is crucial.
