Absence of Shram Sanskriti Party in the Opposition Meeting Called by Nepali Congress

Kathmandu. The Shram Sanskriti Party, led by Harka Sampang, remained absent from the discussion of opposition parties organized by the main opposition, Nepali Congress. Congress called this gathering to formulate a common strategy regarding the election of chairpersons for the parliamentary committees of the House of Representatives.

Representatives from the CPN-UML and CPN participated in the discussion. Congress MP Bhishmaraj Angdambe informed that all opposition forces in Parliament had been invited. Recently, Harka Sampang's inclination toward the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has appeared to increase after the ruling RSP supported Shram Sanskriti Party candidate Rubikumari for the position of Deputy Speaker.

Meanwhile, the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) also did not participate in the meeting. On the other hand, the RSP has already decided to leave the leadership of the Public Accounts Committee to the main opposition party.
