First-Ever 'Vishvamedha Srividya Koti Archana Mahayagya' to be Held in Pashupati Area

The divine festival 'Vishvamedha Srividya Lalita Mahatripurasundari Koti Archana Mahayagya' is scheduled to take place at the Nepal Vedavidyashram premises within the Pashupat area from February 6 to 16 (Magh 23 to Falgun 4).

This historic ritual is being organized with the resolve for the peace, prosperity, and public welfare of Nepal, under the presence and guidance of the supreme worshiper of Srividya, Param Pujya Gurudev Mahesh Chaitanya Brahmachari Maharaj.

In this unique sacrifice, the first of its kind in Nepal’s ritual history, Lakhsharchana rituals for Mahaganapati, Surya, Narayan, Dakshinamurti, Matangi, Varahi, and Kumari will be conducted simultaneously alongside the Koti Archana.

Gurudev Mahesh Chaitanya stated that the Mahayagya is not merely a ritual but a scientific process. He remarked, "This knowledge, which was practiced by sages Vashistha and Dattatreya in ancient times and was on the verge of extinction, will circulate positive energy in Nepal's atmosphere through its revival."

This rigorous 11-day practice is expected to help awaken honesty and a sense of service among rulers to end corruption and irregularities prevalent in the country.

Guru Chaitanya also noted that this sacrifice, held in the Pashupati area—an ancient center of Tantra Vidya (Agam)—will provide spiritual strength to solve problems in education and health, prevent youth migration, and make the country capable.

Approximately 151 initiated practitioners will participate in the ritual, including 110 Brahmin students and scholars who will practice for 14–15 hours daily. Staying away from commercial transactions and the traditional patron system, all practitioners are said to be equal sharers of the fruits of the labor.

The sacrifice will include activities such as Koti Archana through Lalita Sahasranama on the prestigious Shri Yantra, Saptashati Chandi recitation, Shiva worship, and Suwasini Puja.

Believing that the worship of this cosmic power element—worshipped by deities from Lord Ram and Krishna onwards—will support the holistic development of Nepal and revive the glory of this nation as a land of gods, all Srividya lovers have been invited to participate in the festival.

What is Shri Vidya?

It is the worship of the power element that runs the universe. It is practiced by deities such as Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Indra, Manu, and Kuber. Lord Ram and Krishna also worshipped this knowledge. This practice is extremely difficult, requiring 14–15 hours daily.

Nowadays, people flock to storytelling and discourses for entertainment but find it difficult to follow real practice and celibacy. Religion makes people honest and teaches them to serve the distressed. If this sentiment is awakened in the people, the power structure will improve itself.

This rare program is happening here due to some merit from Nepal's previous births. This is a land of gods (the land of Panini and King Bharat); it must be awakened through spiritual practice. The welfare of the country is certain through this.mahayagya-in-pasupati-(1)-1769760539.jpg
