Singer Alina Chauhan Slams US Event Organizers,Alleges 'Servant and Prisoner' Treatment
Popular Nepali singer Alina Chauhan has taken to her Facebook page to express intense anger, claiming that she and fellow artists were treated like 'servants' and 'prisoners' by the organizers during her recent musical tour in the United States.
In a scathing post, she described the experience, stating: "This tour became a huge lesson for me. Artists were not respected; they were treated like servants. Some felt like prisoners, and others had to endure humiliation."
Chauhan took a firm stance on the role of organizers, making a clear distinction: "I want to state one thing clearly: the organizer is the guardian of the artist, not the owner. Artists seek respect, good conduct, and appreciation more than wealth."
She concluded by noting that these negative experiences have taught her a great deal, expressing hope that "no other artist has to suffer such humiliation." Her public outburst has ignited a debate within the Nepali arts community regarding the conduct of international event organizers towards visiting artists.
