Royalty Distribution by Music Royalty Collection Society Nepal
Kathmandu. Music Royalty Collection Society Nepal has distributed royalties to lyricists and composers. The society distributed royalty amounts collected from TikTok, the transportation sector, radio, hotels, and from both within the country and abroad to lyricists and composers.
On the occasion of its establishment day and 19th anniversary, Music Royalty Collection Society Nepal organized a program at the Nepal Academy in Kamaladi, Kathmandu, to distribute royalties to lyricists, composers, and publishers (with creators' permission) who have taken membership and registered their songs and creations with the organization.
Since records of songs and creators not registered with the society are unavailable, they have been deprived of royalties. Keeping this issue at the center, an informative presentation on the royalty acquisition process, necessary criteria, and various sectors where royalty is collected was presented under the coordination of Chief Executive Sagar Pandey.
The website of Music Royalty Society Nepal, mrcsn.org, has also been launched. Lyricists and composers who have taken membership in this organization can log in to the website mrcsn.org using their mobile number and password to obtain information about which song accumulated how much money and from what source.
The society has also stated that it is making arrangements to allow the accumulated amount to be deposited directly into one's own bank account at their convenience and desired time.
Lyricists and composers who are unable to visit the society's office can obtain information via phone or register their songs directly through the website, according to Adhikari, the president of Music Royalty Society Nepal.-1781086127.jpeg)
