‘Roll No 1’ winning audience hearts

Kathmandu — The producer of the film Roll No 1, Binod Paudel, says he is confident after receiving positive responses from viewers. After watching the film on Friday, audiences liked it, and he believes the movie will now gain strong momentum.

Viewers have started sharing and talking about the film on social media, saying it is a good movie and a “must watch.” Because of this, producer Paudel believes the film will benefit from strong word-of-mouth publicity.

People are also saying that Roll No 1 is not just a film to spend two and a half hours in the theater, but a story that stays in the heart for a long time. Many are expressing online that more emotional and meaningful films like this should be made.

Some social media posts even suggest not to miss it, saying it is better than the film Purna Bahadur ko Sarangi. Children who watched the film also said that both they and their parents should watch it.

Because of these reactions, producer Binod Paudel believes Roll No 1 can follow the same path and success as Purna Bahadur ko Sarangi, which became a historic hit.

He also said the film reflects the reality of school education, its importance, and how current evaluation systems affect children. It also shows the pressure from parents and its impact, which audiences have appreciated.

Binod Paudel said, “We had certain goals and expectations, and we hoped the audience would understand the film in that way. We have succeeded in that. The audience reactions have made us very happy and encouraged us.”

He added that he is feeling the same kind of response and excitement that was seen during the success of Purna Bahadur ko Sarangi.

To understand audience reactions, the main actors are currently visiting theaters outside Kathmandu. Actors Mukun Bhusal, Shushank Mainali, and Shankar Acharya have been meeting audiences in different cinemas in Jhapa. This journey, starting from Jhapa, will continue in other major cities as well, the production team said.

Directed by John Yonjan, the film features Mukun Bhusal, Shushank Mainali, Renu Nath Yogi, Ewan Raj Upreti, and Srijana Adhikari in lead roles. Child actors include Nirbhik Regmi, Rinchen Lama, Samyam Katuwal, and Sijal Shrestha.

The film is produced by Binod Paudel and Janbi Paudel. Co-producers are Chhatramaya Giri and Ramesh Chaulagain. The script is written by Mahesh Dawadi, and the director of photography (DOP) is Shivaram Shrestha.roll-no-1-(2)-1780211920.png
