Is 'Roll No. 1' Catching Up to the Rhythm of 'Purna Bahadurko Sarangi'?
Kathmandu. Having received positive responses since its opening day, the movie 'Roll No. 1' has now started to pick up commercial momentum as well.
It is evident that the movie is gaining commercial traction as several shows in some cinema halls began to be housefull a day before the screening.
More than 24 hours before the shows start, many screenings of 'Roll No. 1' have already become housefull. Some shows are in the 'filling fast' status.
Schools have started booking entire shows to take their students to watch the movie. Because of this, several shows for Wednesday were already housefull by Tuesday.
"The positive word of mouth for our movie has started to work. Some schools have started bringing their students to watch the film," said producer Binod Poudel. "That is why many of today's shows were already housefull yesterday."
Producer Poudel is confident that the trend of schools showing the movie to their students has begun and will continue. The production team states that the number of viewers for 'Roll No. 1' is gradually increasing after those who watched it reviewed it as a must-watch film for students, teachers, and parents.
"Since everyone is saying the movie is good and a must-watch, the number of people coming to see it is increasing," producer Poudel said. "We were waiting for this day."
Producer Poudel's previous movie 'Purna Bahadurko Sarangi' had also started running housefull from the fourth day due to positive word of mouth. That cinema went on to make an historic gross collection after people came from various schools and villages by reserving vehicles to watch the film.
Produced under the banner of Seven Seas Cinema, this movie is directed by John Yonzon.
