Pokhara Tourism Promoted in Bali and Hanoi
Pokhara– The Embroidery and Garments Association (EGA) Pokhara has successfully promoted Pokhara’s tourism in Bali, Indonesia and Hanoi, Vietnam from July 25 to August 4 as part of its international promotional campaign.
EGA Pokhara has been conducting various promotional activities both nationally and internationally as part of its annual programs. This year, under its international initiative, promotional events were held in Bali and Hanoi, according to EGA Pokhara President Gokarna Lamsal.
President Lamsal shared that the team gained valuable insights into Balinese art and culture during the trip, noting that Nepalis can learn a lot from it. He emphasized that preserving and promoting Nepal’s own art and culture could bring significant benefits in terms of tourism development.
During the visit, the delegation also conducted an on-site observation of silk industries located in the rural areas of Hanoi.
The trip was facilitated by former EGA President Bishwaraj Pokharel, who also coordinated international travel management. He shared that local tourism entrepreneurs and the general public in both countries were encouraged to visit Pokhara and Nepal.
The 35-member delegation included President Lamsal, former presidents and tourism leaders such as Chiranjeevi Pokharel (former president of Pokhara Tourism Council), immediate past president Indra Prasad Bhandari, former presidents Krishna Kumar Shrestha, Bishwaraj Pokharel, Jeevanath Gautam, executive committee members, and other stakeholders.
The promotional campaign aimed to raise international awareness of Pokhara as a prime tourist destination and to explore future opportunities for cultural exchange and tourism collaboration.
