Clarification from NRNA NCC USA Regarding the Visit of Honorable Minister for Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta

Our serious attention has been drawn to the confusion and misunderstanding created within the media and the Nepali community regarding the US visit and program of the Honorable Minister for Youth and Sports, Bablu Gupta, due to two different statements recently released by the Non-Resident Nepali Association, National Coordination Council (NRNA NCC USA).

The Non-Resident Nepali Association apologizes for any discomfort, confusion, or irreparable damage caused to the Honorable Minister, relevant government bodies, the media, and the Nepali community.

In this context, we wish to clarify that we have received information that the NRNA NCC USA, formed under the chairmanship of Bikash Upreti, officially invited the Honorable Minister for Youth and Sports for the program.

We would like to inform you that a broad unity agreement has been completed at the central level to end past misunderstandings within the Non-Resident Nepali Association, and the National Coordination Councils (NCCs) are also participating in this unity process.

However, we apologize for the recent situation created due to a lack of coordination between the National Coordination Council led by Bikash Upreti and the National Coordination Council led by Satyendra Shah.

As an organization representing the Nepali diaspora, and in light of Nepal's changing socio-political situation and the national possibilities following the recent Gen-Z movement, it is understood that Honorable Bablu Gupta—who represents Gen-Z in the Government of Nepal as the Minister for Youth and Sports—was officially invited to interact and discuss ideas directly with the Nepali community.

The objective of the program, titled "Role of NRNA Youth in the Development of Nepal Post Gen-Z Revolution," is to more strongly connect Nepali youth living abroad with Nepal's development process through the Minister's thoughts, experiences, and policy perspectives.

While clarifying that the Non-Resident Nepali Association is always committed to institutional dignity, transparency, and responsible communication, we also pledge to make internal coordination and information sharing more organized and stronger to ensure such a situation does not happen again in the future.
