Nagdaha in Dhapakhel, Lalitpur, Set for Renovation
Lalitpur. Nagdaha, the landmark pond situated in Dhapakhel, Ward No. 24 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City (LMC), is set to receive a new look. The tender process for the construction of structures is in the final stage.
Dineshjung Pande, Ward Chairperson of Ward No. 24 of Lalitpur Metropolitan City, announced that after a long effort, the development project for Nagdaha, through the Kathmandu Valley Town Development Committee and with the support of UNDP, has reached the final stage of the tendering process.
During an event organized in Lalitpur on Thursday, he stated that since the project process has reached its final stage, the final site visit was conducted with representatives from foreign donor nations, the Valley Town Development Committee, and the technical team. He mentioned that the project will be finalized within a few days.
He further elaborated that the project includes removing all the waste from Nagdaha, organizing the footpaths, reconstructing the collapsed walls, and prohibiting bathing or washing clothes in the pond.
He also mentioned that the duration of this project is two years, and the budget for it is yet to be determined.
