Low Rainfall and Mild Cold Predicted This Winter
Meteorologists anticipate a significantly low chance of rainfall this year during winter. According to them, the cold is not expected to increase much as there will only be occasional, light rain.
Making a preliminary forecast about winter temperature and precipitation, meteorologists working at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology have predicted that rainfall will be low and that most areas will experience warmer-than-average conditions.
According to meteorologist Sudarshan Humagain, the maximum temperature in most places this winter will be above the average temperature.
On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Kathmandu was 19.3 degrees Celsius, and the minimum temperature was 9 degrees Celsius. The coldest temperature ever recorded in Kathmandu was on January 11, 1978. On that day, the cold was measured at minus 3.5 degrees Celsius.
