Khatri Appointed Chief of Galkot Municipal Police

Thamman Thapa, Galkot — Krishna Bahadur Khatri has been appointed as the new chief of the municipal police force in Galkot Municipality, Baglung. The appointment was confirmed by Galkot Municipality spokesperson, Hima Bahadur Bhandari.

Khatri is a retired police officer who previously served with the Abu Dhabi Police in the UAE. During his tenure abroad, he demonstrated excellence both as a gym trainer and as a police officer. His expertise is now being utilized through the Galkot municipal police force, Bhandari said.

Currently, the municipal police force has three personnel. However, according to the municipality, the number could be increased to five based on necessity and workload. The team will now operate under Khatri’s command.

Confirming his appointment as the head of the municipal police with the rank of Havildar, Khatri stated he will carry out his responsibilities in accordance with the laws and regulations of the local government.
