Journalist Suresh Rajak's Wife Appointed at Security Printing Centre

Kathmandu. Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Jagadish Kharel, announced that Sujan Rajak, the wife of journalist Suresh Rajak who died in the incident following the Chaitra 15 protest, has been appointed at the Security Printing Centre.

Meeting with Suresh's family at the ministry on Tuesday, he stated that discussions were ongoing within the ministry regarding what could be done for Suresh.

He said that by immediately offering employment to Suresh's wife, Sujan Rajak, they hoped to provide a small measure of consolation.

He said, "Everyone saw how Suresh was working during the Chaitra 15 incident. The ministry also felt that something should be done for Suresh.

Therefore, to offer a little consolation, even if it is small, by starting an employment opportunity for Suresh's wife, Sujan, she has been placed in one of the bodies under the Ministry of Communications. She has been appointed to the Security Printing Centre."

Furthermore, he stated that if Sujan wishes to study, the ministry is willing to provide a scholarship, or at least some form of concession, if possible.

He also expressed his condolences to Suresh, stating that it is unfortunate when true sons of the nation have to make sacrifices from time to time.

He added that the challenging question of who looks after journalists while they risk their lives to work for the country and the people remains before everyone.
