Hearing of Cases Saved from Arson and Vandalism Set to Restart
Kathmandu, 21 Kartik: The Supreme Court is set to resume full operation starting Mangsir 1st. The Supreme Court had only been providing partial services after the arson attack during the Gen Z movement on Bhadra 24th.
A full bench meeting of the Supreme Court on Thursday decided to regularly resume all obstructed services, including the cases that were saved from the incidents of arson, stone-pelting, vandalism, and looting.
"Since the case files were saved from destruction, the regular hearing of those cases whose date for appearance is yet to come will commence as before starting Mangsir 1, 2082," the court notice stated. "Hearings for other cases that were not listed will be conducted after completing the necessary legal procedures. This notice has been published for the information of the parties concerned and other stakeholders."
The meeting decided to register and hear all types of cases and petitions, including original suits, appeal letters, petitions for rehearing (dohoryai pau), and petitions for review, for which services had been obstructed.
