Gen Z Groups to Unite in National Conference

The Gen Z 2.0 (All Groups) National Coordination Committee announced on Monday that it is working to unify the various Gen Z groups under a single umbrella.

To this end, a press conference at the Reporters' Club revealed plans for a National Unity Conference in Kathmandu on November 9 and 10 (Kartik 23 and 24). The goal is to bring all leaders together for dialogue to protect the movement and strategize for the future.

The Committee also decided to form a 120-member Ad-hoc Committee, a negotiation committee, and several departments. Member Secretary Kundan Kushahawa reported that the decision was made during preliminary meetings held in 39 locations across the country and via Discord meetings with Nepalis abroad on October 9, 10, and 11.

The meetings resolved to play a leading role in making the 'Citizen Government' formed on the back of the Gen Z movement a success. Key decisions include:

Pledging to facilitate the resolution of political appointments in the judiciary and anti-corruption bodies (CIA A) to ensure cooperation with the Citizen Government.

Forming a "Gen-Z Force" to work with security forces across the country to maintain peace and strengthen the security apparatus, as announced by Spokesperson Abin Limbu.

The committee plans to register all active participants (approximately 2 million Nepalis abroad and those nationwide) as ordinary and active members by November 1, with a target of reaching 6 million ordinary members.

The coordination committee emphasized that the main task of the newly formed Citizen Government is to address the core issues of the Gen Z movement and hold the next general election.
