Finale of ‘The Face Nepal Volume 5’ to Feature 8 Contestants

Kathmandu: Nepal’s first and largest modeling reality show, ‘The Face Nepal Volume 5,’ will have 8 contestants competing in the finale. Organized by You Can Fly Modeling Agency, the finalists are Alina Chaudhary, Allen Thapa, Ganesh Kshetri, Irvan Veer Singh Kansakar, Prashna Shrestha, Pratistha Rizal, Trisha Chemjong, and Jos Garett.
The company’s managing director, Swikriti Pyakurel, said the show was organized to provide a platform for models to get better exposure, as models in Nepal currently do not receive adequate exposure. Swikriti herself has been active in modeling for 10 years.
“I have been involved in modeling for 10 years and while exposure was necessary then, now models should be able to get exposure immediately after starting their careers, which is why we created this reality show,” she said. “Though there are modeling events in Nepal, models have not been able to create the necessary hype through sustained efforts. Therefore, we want to open doors of opportunity for them.”
Swikriti also explained that since the finalists have a good fan following, the show aims to bring out their inner talent.
The agency’s founder, Samshad Shah, said that because modeling in Nepal is not highly regarded, many young people go abroad, and through the show, they want to provide a platform so that these youths can work in Nepal.
This season had 18 participants. Contestants were shortlisted each episode, and 8 have now reached the finale. The finale will take place next Thursday at Hotel Soaltee.
The winner of the competition will receive the title of The Face Nepal brand ambassador, prizes worth 700,000 Nepali rupees, and opportunities to model in music videos and advertisements.
