Armed Police Force Provides Aid to Tourists Affected by Snowfall in Mustang
Kathmandu,(October 29) - A team from the Armed Police Force (APF) has been deployed to provide medical treatment to domestic tourists visiting Mustang who have been affected by continuous snowfall.
APF Deputy Spokesperson Shailendra Thapa informed that the APF team set up a health camp at the entrance of Muktinath Temple starting this morning, conducting health check-ups and distributing medicine to approximately 250 people.
The health camp was managed by a team from the Armed Police Force, Nepal No. 33 Company. Due to the snowfall and a sudden drop in temperature in the area, many tourists have been experiencing headaches, nausea/vomiting, and respiratory problems. The APF stated that they identified these problems and provided minor first aid treatment.
Meanwhile, the Armed Police Force has also facilitated tourists by clearing snow from the route leading to Muktinath Temple and the temple premises. APF teams were mobilized early this morning to clear the accumulated snow from the path, which is reported to have made visiting Muktinath easier.
