56th General Assembly of Indreni Integrated Development Center Held — Seven Students Honored

The 56th General Assembly of Indreni Integrated Development Center, located at Old Tundikhel in Ward No. 1 of Pokhara Metropolitan City, was held on Saturday. The center, established on 20th Baisakh 2037 B.S., held its general assembly which was inaugurated by the founding president of the center, Rajendra Raman Parajuli.
The assembly reviewed the activities conducted by the center in the fiscal year 2081/82 and approved the proposed programs and necessary budget for the current fiscal year 2082/83.
The approved programs include: conducting residential training for members, organizing a recreational tour, hosting a blood donation program during the annual celebration, operating a hearse vehicle service, managing and operating the Indreni residential funeral ritual building in a more organized manner, establishing a fund for the operation of the hearse and ritual house, organizing the third Historic Tundikhel Teej Festival 2082 from Bhadra 6 to 15, supporting a selected community school through a student-targeted school support program, continuing the Indreni Talent Award, constructing a gate at the entrance of the ritual building, managing the Indreni Residential Machhapuchhre View Park as required, and granting honorary membership to 10 individuals, lifetime membership to 30, and general membership to 20 individuals as per the organization’s statute.
Additionally, seven students were honored at the assembly — three who secured high scores in the SEE 2081 from community schools in Pokhara-1, and four who are children of center members. The honored students were Nishchal Devkota from Rastriya Secondary School, Sunil Paudel from Sanskrit School, and Roshani Gurung from Ratna School. Each received NPR 3,000 in cash and a certificate of appreciation.
Similarly, the children of center members — Abhishek Subedi, Asin Gautam, Sangeeta Bhattarai, and Shiva Giri — were also honored.
At the assembly, the center's president, Bhanubhakta Adhikari, informed that preparations for the third edition of the Historic Tundikhel Teej Festival 2082, scheduled to take place from Bhadra 6 to 15, were progressing rapidly. The 10-day festival will feature a traditional Teej song competition (group-based for mothers), an open solo dance competition, a traditional skills contest like grinding with dhiki and jato (traditional tools), and a stone-throwing competition.
The festival will also host various stalls featuring daily consumer goods, agriculture, handicrafts, banks and financial institutions, clothing, restaurants, along with performances by national and local artists and a children’s park, Adhikari shared.
