Samriddhi Shah Wins Top Title at 'World Rising Star' in Georgia
Kathmandu: Nepali contestant Samriddhi Shah has won the top title at the 8th edition of 'World Rising Star' held in Tbilisi, Georgia. Samriddhi, the winner of the dancing category in 'DSA Star Season 16,' claimed the crown in the 7 to 10 age group, surpassing competitors from over 40 countries. She is a Grade 4 student at United Scholars Academy in Tarakeshwar, Kathmandu.
Along with Samriddhi, Pranik Thapa, the winner of 'DSA Star Season 15,' won the 'Grand Prix Talent' title. Pranik is a Grade 3 student at Kathmandu Valley School in Nagarjun.
The competition took place from January 8 to 13. Pariwartan Event House sent Pranik and Samriddhi to Georgia from Nepal. The organization's director, Raj Baraili, also traveled with them and received the award for Best International Director at the event.
The Nepali contestants showcased Nepali art and culture and presented traditional Nepali food during the exhibition. Pariwartan Event House has represented Nepal in 'World Rising Star' twice before, and on both occasions, Nepali children emerged as world winners.
