World Meteorological Day Being Celebrated Today

Kathmandu – World Meteorological Day is being observed today across the globe with awareness programs aimed at protecting society from climate-related challenges.
This day has been celebrated since 1950 to mark the enforcement of the convention that established the World Meteorological Organization. In its early years, the focus of awareness programs was mainly on water resources and the management of water-related disasters.
