World Day Against Human Trafficking Observed Today

Kathmandu — The International Day Against Trafficking in Persons is being observed in Nepal today through various programs. This day is celebrated every year on July 30 with the aim of raising awareness and strengthening global commitment toward preventing human trafficking, protecting victims, and bringing perpetrators to justice.

In recent times, as the forms and dimensions of human trafficking have expanded, controlling it has become increasingly challenging. With instances of trafficking rising through lures of foreign employment, education, marriage, and attractive job offers, effective legal enforcement, public awareness, and international cooperation are crucial to combating it.
