Western Wind Influence Brings Rain and Snow Prospects to Western Provinces
Kathmandu: According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is currently a partial influence of westerly winds in Nepal. As a result, the mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces are generally cloudy, while the hilly regions are experiencing partial cloud cover. The weather in the remaining mountainous and hilly areas is mostly clear.
According to the Division, Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces will remain generally cloudy this afternoon, while the hilly areas of other provinces will see partial clouds. The Division also stated there is a possibility of moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in some places in Sudurpashchim province and a few locations in Karnali province.
Furthermore, there is a chance of light snowfall in a few spots within the high-altitude hilly and mountainous regions of Karnali and Sudurpashchim provinces today. Tonight, fog is expected in some parts of the Terai region.
The Division noted that while there will be partial cloud cover in the high-altitude hilly and mountainous areas of Koshi, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces, the weather in the rest of the country will remain mostly clear.
